This little Jem tucked away in downtown Rochester can be easy to overlook. My advice... try this place out!! Everything is fresh and made to order. It's delicious every time and my husband and I have never been disappointed. 5 stars all the way from this picky foodie ;) One of our favorites!

I completely reviewed the wrong Mezza, so I needed to update this: I sincerely don't understand the mixed reviews for this place on Yelp, I have loved everything I've ever ordered from Mezza. The restaurant is clean and everyone who has ever waited on me is courteous and helpful. The food is AMAZING. I love good vegetarian cuisine and this fits the bill! My Mother frequently makes homemade hummus, and now even she is addicted to Mezza hummus! The tabbouli is delicious and tastes fresh and flavorful, and the pitas we had were fresh-out-of-the-oven, warm, and perfectly toasted. We ordered takeout, and the food was prepared very quickly. My boyfriend ordered chicken shwarma and enjoyed it as well. Tons of vegetarian options, food is fresh, place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Definitely will be stopping here frequently!

Above average taste. But something is missing which prevents it from being great tasty food. Can't pinpoint what that is.

Worst carry out service EVER!! We were in the area and decided to stop in and order carry out. We waited forever to get our food and the staff seemed to really not care. So, the next time we wanted this type of food, we called the order in, thinking we would save time, and we were told it would take 20 minutes. We got there 20 minutes later but I guess they meant 20 minutes from whenever we got there...... because we waited again......about 20 more minutes! When we asked about the status of the food they said we have everything ready except the sandwiches. Uhhh, all we ordered were sandwiches! The service is awful and they really seem to be oblivious to this fact and they really don't seem to care. I really don't understand how they are still in business. The food is actually good, however, there are Mediterranean restaurants all over this area so there is no reason to go to a place with awful service. Needless to say, we would not and did not go back the next time we wanted Mediterranean food.

Just had the lentil bowl and warm bread with olive oil dip. The soup is so delicious and one bowl with bread is an affordable lunch and very satisfying...nom nom

I always get carry out from here and food is always great and fresh. The staff is super friendly as well. Dined in today and they take great care of their customers. The guy at the front always lets me sub my rice for my entree for a small hummus. The hummus, and beef kofta is what I usually get and it has amazing flavor. Very juicy and always hot. Also they serve you freshly baked bread (which is addicting!) I am Middle Eastern and I have high expectations for Arabic food and every time I have come here so far it has been top notch. This is probably the only mezza I will consistantly visit. The others I have been to in the past are never this good or friendly. Baklawa is also always fresh with the perfect amount of sweet when I order it and a great way to end a meal.

I was not a fan of this place in any way, shape, or form. The only reason it has 2 stars and not 1 is because the place is not a total dump. I probably won't be giving this spot another shot but I doubt the people care.

I'm not usually a chain restaurant type of person, but I do love Mezza for a quick, fresh and healthy carry out for my family. We love the tabouleh, it's made fresh and has an awesome lemony tast to it. Also, the chicken shrarma is awesome. My favorite dish is the chicken kabobs with grilled fresh vegetables. This place has become a once a week staple in my household!

Place used to be really good but has gone way down in quality. And customer service has gone out the window.

Mezza is one of my favorites in the area. I have read the poor reviews on here, but personally, my experience has been great! I have been there 20+ times over the past year with generally very positive experiences. The staff is always friendly to me. They remember me and even ask about "those friends you came in with before" or "how school is going". You're always greeted with fresh pita and an olive oil & herb dip (much healthier than the garlic butter most places give you). I know that many say this place is expensive, but I get the hummus and one of their pita sandwiches. It's very cheap, delicious, and filling. They have a wide variety of them too.

Wasn't impressed. First look at the menu I thought was overpriced. Had a Greek salad which was very large. Extra $5 for chicken, no way. Girlfriend has a chicken Kafka (sp) she said was flavorless and dry. Can say I got out of there with a reasonable bill. Service two individuals nothing of any great note, although she did refill my water. More like join though the motions.

Got lunch here today, the girl I talked to on the phone was super nice but when I got in a different person who I can only assume was the owner took care of me and he was less than cordial. Lunch menus price point was pretty good and the quality of the beef shawarma I got was "eh pretty good" woulda got a better rating but the owner/manager was a prick to me and the people before me. Might give it another go

The lady at the front was super nice. I really liked how friendly she was with everyone. However, the food was a little pricey, and the taste of it (to me) did not match up to the expense. We had to wait a super long time for our carry-out and my salad had a big ole hair in it. Also, I ordered a crushed lemonade which sounded so beautiful on this 80 degree day and I was so super sad to taste that it wasn't fresh lemonade mixed with ice as I thought, but definitely a syrup mix, which left the food in my stomach feeling like a brick. So...Even though the hostess was super sweet, I'd probably not go back because there are so many other restaurants to explore, and this one was just mediocre.

Very good food, good service. A little dirty though. Iced tea didn't taste fresh or wasn't fresh brewed. The fluffy bread is to die for though!

Really sorry place. You can be sure of what time you go in to eat but you can't be sure when you will actually eat. Takes forever. Just 1 server for the weekend ??? Wonder how they survive. The lady is nice though and not to take anything away from her. There is just that much one person can do. Take orders, deliver food, carry out orders, clean tables and even Cary soiled plates. She seems to enjoy it all though! Food was sad too! The place is a Mess not MeZZa :)

DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. My boyfriend and I were super hungry one day and had not eaten anything all day so we stopped in here for dinner had spinach pie & falafel. WORST FOOD POISONING OF MY LIFE. I kindly let the manager know so no one else would get sick & she told me she wanted a doctors note to prove it.... Was super rude & mean to me the whole time basically told me I was lying to get free food (which I could care less about). My boyfriend also got food poisoning. (Side note: In 24 hours symptoms subsided. Dr. Said it was definitely food poisoning.)

Good place for white people in the mood for white washed mediterranean food. The kabobs I got were cooked well and the proportions were good, but the only thing is the entree cost 18 bucks. a bit too much for what i got and the quality of everything. the location is what you pay for i guess. The salad was not good

I've had the produce label experience as well. I've been here 3 times and I've concluded that they are inconsistent. Some times it's very good other times I've had undercooked vegetables and meat. When I sent the shish kafta back (mistake) for being raw it came back like charcoal.

We are new to the neighborhood so were looking for a place to eat when one of the staff waved us in. I was delighted to learn that they offer homemade soups and that their food isn't loaded with salt. It isn't needed either as the natural flavor of their meals is sufficient enough. I had their crushed lentil soup and rack of lamb and my husband had their beef kabob. We both enjoyed them and so much more knowing that they were a healthy choice for us. The staff was super friendly too. This will definitely be one of our go-to restaurants from now on!

The service is extremely slow! I went there for lunch and there was only one waiter working. The place wasn't very busy at first but picked up a bit. I asked for some bread during the main meal and waited about 15 minutes and it never came. No refill on water. The food was mediocre at best. I would not go back here again.
